Summit Optimist member DeAnn, who's a long time Optimist Member enjoys the hands-on projects and working with children. Also, the friendships you build. DeAnn thinks it's a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, to help children of the community and to develop leadership skills.
Summit Optimist member Amanda Jerman - My dad has been an Optimist member for over 20 years. I grew up around Optimists, helping my dad with their club projects. My husband and father in-law are Optimists too. I went to a West Missouri District Conference about 3 years ago, this was my first contact with the Summit Girls. I knew the very second I "HEARD THEIR CHEERS" I had to join their club. The members are so dedicated to helping youth and making a difference in their community. I felt like a part of the Optimist family from the first meeting I attended.
